Arrive at Vancouver airport and proceed to the Airports Ground Transportation area for a shared transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at Vancouver.
DAY 2 : Vancouver - (On Via Rail) Jasper
This evening proceed on your own to check in at Pacific Central Station and board VIA Rail's famous train journey to the majestic Canadian Rockies. back in time to the days of classic rail . The original stainless steel "streamliner" railcars are totally refurbished and access for all on board to the dome car. Overnight on rail.
DAY 3 : Via Rail - Jasper
This morning begin your train passage into the Canadian Rockies. Enjoy views of snow capped peaks,Pyramid Falls and the expansive glaciers of the Albreada Icefields. Pass by Mount Robson,which at 3954 mts is the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies.Arrive in Jasper shortly after noon and transfer to your hotel. The balance of the afternoon is yours to explore this unique mountain community. Overnight in Jasper.(B,L)
DAY 4 : Jasper- Lake Louise (Coach)
by coach today via one of the most scenic highways in North America-The Icefields Parkway. Visit the Columbia Icefield that covers an area of nearly 325 sq kms and reaches a depth of 320 mts. Time allows for an Ice Explorer Ride( included) onthe Athabasca Glacier. Along the way stops will be made at lake Louise, Bow and Peyto Lakes, the Crowfoot Glacier and the Athabasca Falls. This highway is renowned for sightings of bears,elk,moose & mountain sheep,so keep your cameras handy. Overnight in Lake Louise. Note : Mountains lakes in this region will be frozen through to mid June
DAY 5 : Lake Louise - Banff (Coach)
Today depart Lake Louise by mid morning for a short drive via the scenic Bow valley to Banff. Overnight in Banff
DAY 6 : Banff - Morning Tour with Gondola Ride
This morning, tour through the town of Banff. Among the highlights are visits to the Hoodoos(Shaped by centuries of wind),Surprise Corner,Sulphur Mountain (Gondola ride included) and Tunnel Mountain Drive-which overlooks the splendour of Bow Valley.Enjoy the afternoon on your own to explore the charming resort. Overnight in Banff.
DAY 7 : Banff - Kamloops (Rocky Mountaineer)
All aboard the Rocky Mountaineer for the scenic rail journey to Kamloops in the interior of British Columbia. As the train crosses over the continental divide you pass through the spiral tunnels in Yoho National Park. Continue on through the the Rogers Pass in Glacier national park with endless views of snow capped mountains and stunning glaciers. A stop will be made later in the day at Craigellachie, where the last spike was driven completing the Canadian Pacific Railway Trans Canada link in 1885.Overnight in Kamloops.(B,L)
DAY 8 : Kamloops- Vancouver (Rocky Mountaineer)
Re board the Rocky Mountaineer Train and follow the Thompson River through Ashcroft-One of Canada's driest town. Pass through Rainbow Canyon with its cliffs striped with pinks,greens and greys creating a stunning effect. Continue on to Fraser Canyonwhere at Hells gate you will observe a water torrent past the canyon walls at its narrowest point. The last leg of the journey takes you through the lush farming region of the Fraser Valley to arrive in the pacific port of Vancouver late afternoon.Later proceed to your hotel on your own.
